We Started With a Simple Question

Why do so many businesses in Vietnam struggle to understand their financial position until it's too late?

Back in early 2019, we noticed a pattern. Companies would approach us after they'd already missed critical warning signs. The data was always there, buried in their financial statements. But nobody had shown them how to read it properly. So we built pulsewaveunion to change that.

How We Got Here

Building something meaningful doesn't happen overnight. Here's the real story of where we've been and what we learned along the way.

2019

The Beginning

Started with just three of us and a shared frustration about how financial education was being taught. We knew there had to be a better way to explain liquidity concepts without drowning people in jargon.

2021

First Major Shift

Moved away from generic theory and started building case studies from actual Vietnamese businesses. Turns out real examples make way more sense than textbook scenarios from foreign markets.

2023

Expanded Focus

Added solvency analysis to our program after realizing liquidity alone doesn't tell the complete story. Business owners needed both perspectives to make informed decisions about their company's health.

2025

Where We Stand

Now running comprehensive programs that help finance teams understand not just the formulas, but the business implications behind every ratio and metric. Still learning, still improving.

What We Actually Do

People ask us this all the time. It's not about memorizing formulas or passing exams. We teach you how to spot financial trouble before it becomes a crisis.

  • Break down complex financial statements into clear, actionable insights that you can actually use in Monday morning meetings
  • Show you how to calculate and interpret liquidity ratios without needing an advanced finance degree or expensive software
  • Teach solvency assessment techniques that help you understand long-term financial stability, not just short-term cash flow
  • Walk through real Vietnamese business scenarios so you see how these concepts apply in your actual market context
  • Help you build practical frameworks for ongoing financial monitoring that fit into your existing workflow

Our Teaching Philosophy

We've tested a lot of different approaches over the years. These three principles kept coming up as the ones that actually work when teaching financial analysis.

1

Context Matters More Than Theory

Generic financial education doesn't account for Vietnam's unique business environment. We use local examples and address the specific challenges you'll actually face in this market.

2

Learn By Doing, Not Just Watching

You won't spend hours watching someone else analyze statements. Our programs put you in the driver's seat from day one, working through real financial data with guidance when you need it.

3

Build Skills That Last

Quick tips and shortcuts fade fast. We focus on helping you understand the reasoning behind each analysis technique so you can adapt them to any business situation you encounter.

The People Behind the Program

We're not a massive organization with hundreds of staff. Just a small group of finance professionals who got tired of seeing businesses make preventable mistakes. Here are two of the people you'll work with during our programs.

Leland Moss, Lead Financial Analyst at pulsewaveunion
